Jet-Setting in January!!

Hello Everyone! January has been such an eventful month so far and I'm loving EVERY moment of it!! Let me start off by telling you a little bit about our VEGAS VACATION!! My family & I left home on the 7th of January to celebrate Joe's (my brother's) 21st birthday. We had such a blast and Joe got very lucky playing poker. His girlfriend Hannah flew out a few days after we had arrived to meet us and we all couldn't of had a better time together. On our last night in Vegas we all decided to do a bit of karaoke. We found a place in the hotel that was holding a karaoke contest so of course Joe, Hannah & I HAD to take part. Who ever wins the karaoke contest that was held at the Sushi-Samba restaurant gets to fly to any other Sushi Samba in America! Fingers crossed guys. We all headed back to Austin for a little rest and a couple of my performances which were SO much fun! The first performance was at a talent show held at Lake Travis Middle School, I got to host the event and also perform two of my favorite songs. All the kids that took part in the show did so well and I loved seeing all the different types of talent. The second performance was for the opening of ASPVA (Austin School of the Performing & Visual Arts). I sang my original song "Kiss of Life" and also "Halo" which I dedicated to my Angel, my mum. xoxox

Time to go to Florida! On the 23rd of January We started our LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGG drive to Florida. You probably are wondering why in the world we would do 2 full days of driving to get to FL and the answer is...JOE! My big brother is now going to Full-Sail University in Florida… a PERFECT reason for me to visit.

The drive was extremely boring and hard to sit through but at least we made it safe and THANK GOD we are flying home!! Me and my mum spent all afternoon the other day shopping for some furniture and now Joe's apartment is really starting to look like "home".

And now we get to the point where what I tell you is what I'm doing right at this VERY moment. Sitting here on Joe's couch writing to you all. I hope you all are having a great year so far. I have a good feeling about 2010. I can't believe in about a week and a half I am moving to LA with my mum. Things are changing so much recently but I am ready to go! I love life in the FASTEST lane!! I just found out this morning that I won the Shakira Karaoke Contest on Myspace, I can't believe it!! This summer I will be meeting Shakira and I really can't wait! I can't express in words how blessed I am in my life and I just wish more than anything that I could take away all the pain and devastation in Haiti. My heart is with all the people there, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
